ABSTRACT

Inmates who perpetrate sexual harassment generally experience stigma and discrimination, namely being treated arbitrarily, ostracized, beaten and labeled as “monsters”. Stigma and discrimination have an impact on the psychological and social of prisoners. To overcome the problem of stigmatized behavior, inmates need an effective strategy. This study aims to describe the coping strategies of male inmates in dealing with stigma as perpetrators of sexual harassment in prisons. This research was conducted in a Penitentiary in Central Java with the case study method. The sample consisted of five inmates who were taken purposively with the criteria that inmates who were sexually harassed experienced stigma based on the Perceived and Public Stigma questionnaire, were at least 18 years old, not illiterate, communicative, able to express opinions and were willing to be participants. The instrument used is a structured interview guide. The interview process was recorded using a Digital Voice Recorder, then a transcript was made and analyzed using the Colaizi method. From the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there are two themes of inmates' coping strategies facing stigmatization, namely silencing people who mock to avoid commotion and fighting people who mock. Thus, it can be concluded from this study that the coping strategies used by inmates who commit sexual harassment when experiencing stigmatization are silence or resistance. Silence is a maladaptive coping, but it is the safest coping for prisoners in prison to avoid fights between inmates.

ABSTRACT

Sanitation as an indirect risk factor for stunting needs to be considered because it plays a role in influencing and minimizing the deterioration of health status due to the main factors that cause stunting: nutritional deficiencies and infectious diseases is needed. Good sanitation can be realized by implementing the STBM program according to government recommendations. This study aims to see the relationship between the implementation of STBM and the incidence of stunting in toddlers. This study uses a correlational descriptive research design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample was selected using a total sampling technique of 96 parents who have children under five in Sukamulya Village. Data analysis used the chi-square correlation test. The results showed there was no relationship between the implementation of Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) and the incidence of stunting in toddlers. Whether the implementation of STBM is good or bad does not affect the incidence of stunting in toddlers. The stunting incident found in Sukamulya Village, Rancaekek District, Bandung Regency is included in the stunting event group that is not affected by the STBM implementation.

ABSTRACT

The concept of virtual care has not been consistently defined for its use in healthcare. Overall, the definition of virtual care available is in the form of the use of communication technology with the aim of providing health services. Several studies state that the term virtual care is used synonymous with the concepts of telemedicine, telehealth, telenursing, telerehabilitation, telemonitoring so that it needs to strengthen the concept so that there is no error in the use of variables. This study aims to clarify the concept of virtual care. Walker and Avant concept analysis methods were used in this study. Literature searches were also conducted from four databases: PubMed, CINAHL, and Scopus, and Google Scholar, to find articles until July 2022. The literature search obtained 14 articles on virtual treatment from different disciplines.  Four attributes were developed from the concept analysis, including 1) remote health care delivery, interaction between patients and health workers, 2) communication between patients and health workers, 3) communication using audio, visual, and short message-based technology, Asynchronous, 4) aiming to improve access, effectiveness, and efficiency of services. Two types of antecedents were identified in the concept of virtual care related to virtual care needs involving factors such as use cases, payment barriers, regulatory changes, and technology, as well as antecedents from virtual care, namely conventional face-to-face consultations and considering physical or geographical constraints. In addition, it was found to be in the form of increased service effectiveness, service efficiency, and cost reduction. Conclusion: Concept analysis provides four comprehensive attributes, antecedents as well as consequence. However, this concept can be used to provide nursing care remotely, assessing the provision of remote nursing care.
