Respiratory Muscle Training Terhadap Kekuatan Otot Pernapasan Pada Rehabilitasi Paca Stroke

Abstract

Fungsi pernapasan yang menurun dapat membatasi aktivitas dan meningkatkan risiko komplikasi pernapasan. Gangguan otot pernapasan merupakan masalah umum dan serius yang mempengaruhi pemulihan dan rehabilitasi. Penanganan yang tepat serta rehabilitasi yang cepat akan memberikan pemulihan yang optimal. Salah satu intervensi mengatasi gangguan otot pernapasan pada pasien stroke adalah Respiratory Muscle Training (RMT). Tujuan yaitu untuk membahas jenis-jenis RMT yang mempengaruhi kekuatan otot pernapasan pada rehabilitasi pasca stroke. Telaah literature menggunakan pendekatan scoping review dan metode pencarian artikel menggunakan database elektronik Science Direct, Scopus, Pubmed, dan google scholar dengan rentang tahun 2017 hingga 2022. Hasil review dari 6 artikel didapatkan bahwa jenis RMT yaitu Inspiratory Muscle Training (IMT) atau gabungan IMT dan EMT (Expiratory Muscle Training) mampu meningkatkan kekuatan otot pernapasan namun karena otot inspirasi maupun ekspirasi penting untuk fungsi pernapasan yang efektif sehingga latihan gabungan IMT dan EMT lebih efektif daripada hanya melakukan latihan IMT saja. Kesimpulan: RMT terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kekuatan otot pernapasan pasien stroke dan dapat direkomendasikan pada rehabilitasi pasca stroke.
